Desert Mines and Metals intercepts high grade molybdenum at Daehwa, South Korea
【China Molybdenum Industry News Network】
Desert Mines and Metals has received high grade molybdenum assays from two new holes at its Daehwa project in South Korea.
The holes, drilled by state-owned Korea Resources Corporation, included intervals 0.1 metres at 4.38% molybdenum from 58 metres, and 0.15 metres at 3.55% from 92 metres.
Tungsten mineralisation was also evident, associated with narrow quartz vein structures located down dip of historically mined molybdenum and tungsten lodes.
Logging of the balance of the 1940 metres of drill core from the 2013 drill program is continuing with further assay results due shortly.
The narrow molybdenum and tungsten bearing lodes formerly mined at Daehwa continue well below the levels of historic mining and remains open at depth and along strike.
This demonstrates the potential to develop an underground mining operation.
