Tungsten Oxide Nanotube

Tungsten oxide nanotube requires extra coating and etching processes if it is prepared by traditional producing methods, whose quality greatly depends on the control of processing steps. Therefore, the hollow WO3 nanofibers may be directly manufactured by using the coaxial electrospinning technology to simplify the process.tungsten oxide nanotube picture
Principle of Coaxial Electrospinning Technology
The hollow nanotube is generally obtained by coaxially electrospinning readily soluble or volatile substance and then removing the core layer by dissolving or heating. In general, mineral oil and methyl silicone oil are used as core layer and polymer solution is used as shell layer.

Tungsten trioxide nanotube has attracted much attention due to their unique electrical, magnetic, and optical properties, and therefore it has been widely applied in gas sensor, photocatalyst, gasochromism, electrochromism, photochromism and solar cell, etc. Apart from that, temperature induces structure phase transition which results in the changes of volume, resistance and color greatly draw people’s attention. The research on its special structure has become the focus of recent study.
