The Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory studied the energy-saving effects of electrochromic glass through energy-consuming software fitting, experimental testing, and a 2.5-year field experiment at Berkeley. Studies have shown that, under the same illumination system, compared with low-e glass, electrochromic smart glass can reduce the peak energy consumption of cooling by 19%-26% and reduce the energy consumption of lighting by 48%-67% by controlling solar radiation.
