There are some important applications of cesium tungsten bronze. They are laser welding, security features (e.g. security printing of banknotes), marking, tracers and heat localization, heat transfer or heat shielding. The present particles may be employed for near infrared curing and drying of coatings or inks. The particles may be employed for near infrared curing and drying of adhesives, for near infrared drying of offset prints, for near infrared drying of paper coatings, for heating plastic preforms or for near infrared fixation of ink toners. The particles may be employed for near infrared laser marking of paper or plastics, for near infrared laser soldering of glass, or as near infrared optical filters, e.g. for plasma display panels or protective goggles.
