Some researchers used cheap metal salts as raw materials to synthesize precursors through simple room temperature solid-phase chemical reactions, and then prepared yellow tungsten oxide with high purity, good crystallinity and small particle size by thermal decomposition of the precursors. And they also used X-ray diffractometer, energy spectrometer and scanning electron microscope to characterize the phase, composition and morphology of the obtained powder, and studied the sensitive characteristics of yellow tungsten oxide nanomaterials to harmful gases and degradation performance of organic pollutants. The results show that the WO3 material exhibits fast response, high selectivity, and high sensitivity to low-concentration acetone gas at low operating temperatures. It can respond to 5ppm acetone gas within 2s, and the response value reaches 3.7, which can be used for early detection of diabetes. Under the conditions of ultraviolet light and simulated sunlight, the solution of methylene blue has good degradation performance, and the degradation efficiency is not less than 70%.
